This is the home of the Metastores Java open source project.
It aims to provide a feature rich integrated tool, built from independent and well defined utility modules that are easy to integrate with existing software.
Whilst every aspect can be configured and controlled in many different ways, it strives to do the sensible thing by default.
This overview should give you more details on the key concepts that drove the development of this tool.
